Cooler, weekend effects what happens the following week.

An area of high pressure slides in from the west and northwest to give the region much cooler temperatures for Thursday and Friday with highs in the 30s, Friday will be the warmer of the two days. Lows Thursday night will be back in the single digits, but it will not be as brutal as that last blast of arctic air prior to the snow/ice/rain system earlier in the week.  A system will be moving from the west/northwest and slide to the north of the region giving the area a chance of rain and snow showers. Snow accumulation of up to one inch is possible. The rest of the weekend looks good with sunny skies but temps will be slightly above average in the 40s. Lows will be in the 30s.

For the start of the week, an area of low pressure could form to the south or over the area  to give the region a light snow/rain event for Monday as it develops. Another storm looks to effect the region mid to late week which looks to be larger but with many questions of what actually happens.
