Hurricane IRMA is not the only one.

As the southeast particularly Florida braces for Hurricane IRMA that is currently a catagory 3 Hurricane,  New England looks to have a nice area of high pressure keeping us nice and dry for the next 7 days.  Skies will be mostly to partly sunny through next weekend. The area of high pressure will slide south and sit over the region warming the area as the week goes on.  Temperatures will be in the upper 70s to low 80s. Temperatures will drop to the low to mid 70s to end out the week and into the weekend.

We will need to monitor how fast a cold front moves into the region from the northwest to determine if Jose will have any impact on the east coast.  If Jose was to effect the area around the 20th.

In terms of Irma, she is a catagory 3 hurricane and is anticipated to regain strength as it goes over extremely above normal water temperatures in the Florida straights. These temperatures are in the upper 80s to mid 90s, lots of fuel for hurricanes.  The entire state of Florida should be taking shelter from wind and water.  Current thinking is that Irma will travel across the keys tomorrow and travel up the west coast, making land fall at a few possible locations on her way up the coast. Be safe Florida.
