Calm for now

A series of high pressures will dominate the region’s weather through Friday. Highs will range in the mid-60s to low 70s through the week. Lows will be in the 40s. Highs and Lows will increase gradually throughout the week.  We will continue to watch Hurricane Mathew as it affects the Caribbean at the moment. Most models have a general agreement up to the outer banks. From there. Three possible tracks. One that hugs the coast and makes landfall somewhere in the Northeast. Another around the benchmark or out to sea with limited impacts.

The Hurricane Models

As seen here you can see the wide discrepancy among the models especially as you head past the Carolina’s. More updates will be posted individual and also on the National forecast.

Forecast for Merrimack Valley

Tuesday:  Partly to mostly sunny, highs in the upper 50s to low 60s.

Tuesday Night.  Partly to mainly clear, lows in the upper 30s to low 40s

Wednesday and Wednesday night: Sunny, highs in the low to mid 60s. Lows in the 40s

Thursday through Friday  Sunny, highs in the low to mid 70s. Lows in the mid to upper 40s

Saturday through Monday. Watching the tropics. Depends on Track. At this time. Saturday looks dry with periods of rain developing Saturday night and lasting through Sunday evening.  Current thoughts are that Matthew will be weakening and will be around or just outside the benchmark. Temperatures will in the 60s to low 70s Saturday with highs in the upper 50s to mid-60s.  Columbus day looks to be cool with highs in the 50s.

The weekend forecast is really up in the air. The track may very well be well out to sea.
