An area of high pressure will continue to dominate through today. This High pressure has some really cool air aloft leading to a cooler Saturday, This high pressure will move south giving the region a more west and southwest flow which will be the beginning phase of the summer warm up. Southeast of the region a warm and humid air mass will be pushing north and west. This will lead to increasing clouds for memorial day itself. No plans should be canceled. I believe there could be a few scattered showers across the area monday night. Tuesday through thursday will be really summer like with highs in the mid to upper 80s with a few locations seeing low 90s on wednesday. Do to the increased humidy and heat leading to unstable atmosphere there are risks of a late day shower or thunderstorm. A cold front will move through sometime friday timing of this front will determine the highs for friday as well as possible severe weather.
