Its here

Its the week before christmas, when colleges of finals, college kids are heading home.the start of people leaving for vacations and/or  seeing estended family. The last of christmas shopping etc.  From now through saturday it looks to go with out a hitch.  Monday will feature sunny skies with highs in the upper 30s ahead of a weather system effecting the area. This weather system will be in the form of rain showers late tuesday through early wednesday morning before clearing out wednesday afternoon.  Clouds will likly stick around for wednesday night.  This will start the cool down with highs from thursday to saturday will be in the mid to upper 30s but with partly to mostly sunny skies. Lows will be in the upper 20s to low 30s durring this period.

A storm system as it looks right now will effect the east coast, the exact path, streangth, what type of precip and if it truly forms is still in question. The picture/map Below the Forecast shows  the Euro weather model which is one of the more accurate weather models from this distance.

Euro weather model. Generally one of the more accurate weather models.

As of right now , the Euro model shows a descent size storm.  south of red line mainly rain, areas north of the red line to black line is a mix of rain, snow and sleet.  Areas in this region that is south of the purple line will be rain for most of it turning over to a mix.areas north of the black line is mainly snow. Remeber this is not a forecast, this is still more than 5 days out, this is very early for me to post such things, but this model has been consistant for a long period of time and is worth to take note expecially since this would effect one of the most traveled weekends of the year, and effect those that are still going around christmas shopping.
