As an area of high pressure maintains control of the region through today with mostly sunny skies with high temperatures in the upper 70s to low 80s. A weak disturbance will effect the region tuesday morning with a mix of clouds and sun with a few showers possible. A trough will be approaching from the west(dip in the jet stream) which will allow a warm humid southwest wind to form. This will allow temperatures to soar into the mid to upper 80s by wednesday. As the trough approaches.. Some low 90s are possible southwest sections of the Merrimackvalley. The leading edge of the trough is a cold front. The meeting of the the very warm temperatures and humidity will lead to showers and thunderstorms to develope expecially late wesdnesday afternoon as the front moves through. We will have to monitor this as there could be enought lift to create isolated to scattered severe weather wednesday afternoon. Later in the week an area of high pressure will move into the region from the north and create cooler temperatures in the mid to upper 70s , less humidity and with sunshine as we experiance the longest days of the year.
